Trial Of Oscar Wilde

 * There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book.Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.'
* The books that the world calls immoral are books that show the world its own shame.
* Whenever people agree with me I always feel I must be wrong.
* The truth is rarely pure and never simple.
P.s The truth is that life is delicious, horrible, charming, frightful, sweet, bitter, and that is everything.
Anatole France
and  “Sugar candy tasted better than bitter truth.”:)

"Good to see again Peter Finch's restrained and sensitive performance, but screen portrayals of Wilde and the scandal of the trials fall far short of the reality. Ellman's biography and the transcripts of the trials remain essential to an understanding of this appalling tale of Victorian hypocrisy and prejudice. It hasn't gone away. The Ballad of Reading Jail is well worth reading, too. The film is valuable for its accurate portrait of the odious Bosie."
Peter Finch is great enough!;))
