Dimtri Shostakovich

Dimtri Shostakovich wrote this work in a 3 day period. He wrote it as his own Epitaph because he planned to commit suicide. Each movement quotes from his other works that were banned by Stalin's Communist regime in Russia because as chamber music it would get played in private and not public sectors. He quotes his 1st and 5th symphonies, the Jewish theme from his Piano Trio no. 2 and from his opera Lady Macbeth of the Mtsenk District. Just for the historical background as well.'
p.s and why west europe's & americans some young people loved J. Stalin, I don't understand!;D maybe them have no true information and knowledge, about USSR and about everything, ;D anyway "Knowledge is power", true knowledge, and you can't make knowledge in Universities or colleges. For example; Home work ; "my liverpool home" isn't knowledge, skills or experience.. or Art, or history, History, Art, Literature, Music, is something else... something great.. you can't see it, in UNIVERSITIES, YOU CAN'T... DON'T FUCK YOURSELF.. Right????
